VP80ES beskytter mod Brute Force-angreb og BadUSB med digitalt signeret firmware. Brute Force-angrebsbeskyttelse krypto-sletter drevet, hvis Admin- og User-adgangskoderne indtastes forkert 15 gange i træk som standard. Drevet er FIPS 197-certificeret med XTS-AES 256-bit-kryptering ved hjælp af en Common Criteria EAL5+ (CC EAL5+) certificeret sikker mikroprocessor og er TAA-kompatibel.
